I write from time to time; mostly poetry. These are completely of my own creation. I have friends who are immensely talented published poets and/or spoken word performers. I don’t claim to hold a candle to any of them, but it doesn’t stop me from writing.
In some of the sadder times in my life, I’ve put pen to paper and fingers to keyboard to write down my feelings. As horribly emo as that is, it’s helped.
Stuff your mother wouldn’t want you reading, and you wouldn’t want your mother to know you like reading.
